Design and Planning

We can handle every aspect of the design and planning for your build; from the initial concept design, through to your planning application and the detailed technical designs we’ll need to begin constructing your bespoke timber frames.

Construction

Once we have your detailed technical designs, we will be able to begin crafting the timber frames that will become the core of your structure. Each frame is carefully marked, cut, and finished by hand to precise dimensions.

As project managers, we will source and manage the subcontractors and resources required to complete your project. We will maintain efficiency and continuity throughout the build so that you can sit back and watch your dream take shape.

We (Jamie & Pieter) are dedicated artisans specialising in the design, planning, and construction of timber framed buildings and structures.

Based near Frome, Somerset, in the heart of the historic Selwood forest, we design and construct beautiful timber buildings with an emphasis on sustainability, durability and integrity.

Our story

When we first met, back in 2021, we were working for the UK’s biggest timber framed construction companies and quickly bonded over our shared sense of engagement and attention to detail for the projects we were working on.

With Jamie’s decade of experience in timber framing, and Pieter’s background in engineering and intricate joinery, we were excited by the prospect of what we could achieve if we worked for ourselves.

We took the plunge later that year and have been crafting timber-framed projects with care and precision ever since. Our two-man team not only enables quality and integrity, but also efficiency; ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Our work ranges from rustic barns, glazed extensions and outbuildings, to simple porches and fully built houses. We can construct verandas, free-standing garden structures, garden rooms & more, as well as  integrated custom joinery.

Each project is crafted with skill and delivered with care in response to its unique requirements. Central to our approach is a deeply felt, personal connection to our work.
